Salentein Malbec, Valle De Uco, 2016

Reserve. Estate bottled. Our vineyards are planted on the Eastern Slopes of the Andes at some of the highest elevations on the planet for wine growing. The Valle de Uco's stony soils, excellent sun exposure and pure melt water from mountain snow caps are ideal for creating this remarkable wine collection. Bodegas Salentein pioneered the development of premium wines in Valle de Uco (Uco Valley). The ideal conditions of the region for grape growing, combined with the unique qualities of our estate vineyards located between 1,050 and 1,700 meters high and the benefit of its five different microclimates, result in wines with exceptional characteristics. 100% malbec (1,110-1,300 meters above sea level). The wine displays an intense purplish red color with aromas of blueberry, redcurrant, violet and vanilla. In the mouth it is silky and enveloping, with every good structure and fruit, combined with tobacco notes granted by its ageing in oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is bottled without filtrations. Serving Temperature: 16 degrees C (61 degrees F). This wine can be aged for 6-8 years. www.bodegasalentein.com. Alc. 13.5% by vol. Red wine - produced and estate bottled by Bodegas Salentein S.A.
