Today, winemaker Susan Doyle is focused on producing the best Pinot Noirs from the best Pinot Noir producing appellations. A dominant portion of the fruit in the MacMurray Ranch Central Coast Pinot Noir is sourced from Santa Lucia Highlands, a small region near Monterey famous for exceptional Pinot Noir. This AVA benefits from morning fog, long sunny California days with afternoon breezes and the cooling marine influence from its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. This wine is a wonderful expression of the Central Coast's cool micro-climates. It showcases flavors of bright cherries, cranberry and spices of clove, with sweet vanilla nuances lingering in a long finish.
